AgileSite was started in 2003 by PointShop. PointShop.com has been building e-commerce websites since 1998 and discovered the need for businesses to manage their non-ecommerce websites as easy as the PointShop Store Management Center allows them to manage e-biz sites.
The first generation of AgileSite's application was called Control Center Pro. This application was sucessful and powers websites for legal organizations, medical industry clients, non-profit organization and media companies. In 2005 started re-developing the next generation of Content Management Solutions and built the new .NET version of the application, now called AgileSite.
Today, movie studios, record lables, marketing companies, insurance companies and many more use AgileSite to manage their websites.
